Andrew is out of town this week at a continuing education retreat or conference or something like that…! We are already missing him! However, Grandmama is here!! (Andrew’s mom) and we are all excited and happy to have her. David is especially estatic. Emma mostly just gave her the look of “uh-oh, mom must be fixing to go somewhere”!
The reason I told you all of that was because Alesia (my mother in law) eats gluten free for health reasons. So I felt the need to plan out this weeks menu ahead of time. I’ve been wanting to get back in the habit of planning out our weekly meals anyway. Before becoming pregnant with Emma I did that, and then the very thought of food made me sick, so I quit. Hopefully I will be able to keep up the meal planning, and post them for you! Feel free to use them if you want! Around our house what we eat is subject to change occasionally, but it helps to have it planned out anyway.
Our kids are pretty good eaters. David has his days of picky-ness, but as long as we have ketchup on hand he will eat almost anything! We also have a rule at our house: you have to try at least one bite before saying you don’t like something. Sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesn’t go so well! David will try his one bite, and being all theatrical (hmm…wonder who he gets that from?), will throw himself down on the floor and act like he is gagging to death! Oh well!
Mmm…delicious! October 2nd-8th
