A couple years ago we went through a smoothie phase. Andrew was drinking them for breakfast, and David loved them too. We made all kinds of smoothies! The phase passed, but I still break out the blender once in a while to whip up a delicious cold treat! I did so just this past Wednesday. I made what I like to call a purple berry smoothie. It consists of approximately 1 1/2 to 2 cups of frozen strawberries, 1 cup of frozen blueberries, 1 banana, a cup of plain or vanilla greek yogurt, 1/4 cup of orange juice, and 1/2 cup of milk. You can adjust the ingredients as you need to. I always eyeball everything, and find myself adding a little extra of this or that to get it to the consistency I want.
Emma and David both loved their smoothies! 🙂 Emma drank out of a straw for the first time too! She finally realized that she needed to suck on the straw to get that delicious cold stuff to come out.
We are all a little under the weather. David and Andrew came down with a cold, and then Emma. Between being sneezed, snotted, and kissed on, I didn’t stand a chance! 🙂 Oh well, I wouldn’t trade those sweet, percious, germy kisses for anything!
I love how babies sleep! There is nothing more precious than watching your little ones sleep. I love the hands behind the head position. 🙂 Or the booty up in the air position. haha! So cute! I was trying to get Emma to look at me and smile in the picture above, but she didn’t want to have anything to do with me taking her picture. Cutie pie!
Thursday was a shorter teaching day this week, so after I finished teaching I ran a couple errands. On my way home I picked up some daisy flowers to decorate our dining table with for this Valentines week. I love flowers!! (Side note: I also bought a bag of m&m. This was a big mistake! I love those little chocolaty candies!!!)

Unfortunately Andrew is not really a flower guy. He likes to buy me clothes, and other things. Once in a while he will surprise me with flowers, but not usually on the days one might expects flowers. The last three years for Valentines day, Andrew has bought me a beautiful gold dipped rose. They are all three different colors. One is red, one pink and one is aqua blue. Andrew says he wants to get me a dozen of them. I LOVE the roses and I LOVE that he wants to get me them. I don’t know if I can handle all this love!!! 🙂

Can’t wait to see this years rose!
Friday I made more banana bread! We had a lot of bananas! I also baked some sugar cookies. I already had some cookie dough made up and in the freezer from Christmas. So all I had to do was roll them out and bake them. After school, David helped me decorate them. He loves to put the frosting in a piping bag and then “decorate” the cookies.:) I helped him a little.
He did pretty good!
I also thought a lot about David’s valentines box, and I came up with an idea! We put it all together yesterday. (Warning! Andrew and I can have creative ideas, we just don’t possess the artistry to carry them out! 🙂 ) Here is what you will need to make a godzilla valentines day box!
This is what the finished product looks like!
It’s okay to laugh!! I’m laughing, and I helped execute this project. 🙂 Oh well…David loves it, and that’s what counts!
Andrew took David to the Waffle house yesterday for breakfast. (For some reason they like this restaurant?) They were having some Daddy/David time! This is the picture Andrew took of David and tagged me in.
Look at that sweet face! My little baby boy is getting so big! I can’t believe it! He is learning so much too! He can write his name, knows all his letters and their sounds, can count to twenty. I took this picture of him making his numbers on play-doh the other day.
Here is a picture of Zoe! Emma had just emptied her box of plush toys and Zoe jumped in. It’s always funny when she does this. Zoe loves Emma!
I played an arrangement of They’ll Know We are Christians by Our Love this week at church! It went along with the theme of the sermon today. You can listen to it here on my Worship Music Archives page. I hope you enjoy!
