The last few days Emma has discovered that she can be loud. By this I mean, she has discovered screaming! She thinks it is funny too! Yikes!! ๐ I try not to react to her shrill, high voice loudness, as it only encourages more. The other new thing she has started doing the last couple days is saying, “oh mama?”. It’s actually pretty cute! When she wants help with something, she will go through the house looking for me exclaiming, “oh, mama?”! Then she expects me to help her. ๐
David has been reacting to Emma’s new discoveries, by thinking he can do things just because she is doing them. For example, Emma was making a sing-song voice today in church, so David started making sing-song noises in church too. I guess he thinks because she doesn’t get in trouble over some things, that he shouldn’t either.ย I have explained to him that Emma is still a baby and doesn’t understand yet that she shouldn’t do some things, and that he is a big boy and knows how to act. However, I get the I’m going to ignore you and do what I want attitude from him. When did he become a teenager?! Yikes!! Why do we have such strong-willed, stubborn children?!ย (You know who you are, please don’t answer that! ๐ ) Lord help us when Samuel arrives on the scene!
We were able to spend time with family this weekend! My sister and brother in law came up to our parents house, and we went to visit with everyone. I love spending time with my sister, and wish we could do it more often! She took this great picture of us sitting on the porch swing!
Leah and I also spent some time shopping together on Friday afternoon! We love perusing the old down town, and spending time together!
David and Emma loved seeing Papa and Nana!

Emma loved the chickens! (Leah, who is like a professional at photography took this photo of Emma.)
David had fun riding Papa’s new tractor, and hunting turtles. We came home with a pet box turtle by the way. His name is Sheldon. ๐ I’ll have to share a picture of him next time, as I forgot to take a picture to share.
Andrew took these photos, and I love them!!! So I had to share. It’s funny that Zoe is watching us through the window. ๐ I LOVE this picture of my sweetheart, times two!!!
I started teaching piano lessons this past week! It feels great to get back into teaching. I’ve really missed it!! I’m excited to be sharing this learning adventure with my students. If you are in the area and want to take lessons, just send me a message! I’m still looking for more students!
