This is my favorite time of the year! I love when the weather is beautiful and warm, but not hot, and the mosquitoes don’t devour you. Flowers and trees are blooming, and new life is all around! I’ve enjoyed the sounds of David and Emma playing in the back yard until sundown this past week.
We visited the zoo last weekend. When we arrived we were walking and one of the zoo keepers told us that a baby giraffe had just been born. We immediately walked over to see! It was amazing! A once in a life time kind of thing. We saw the brand new, wobbly legged, baby giraffe and his parents. The mom was still licking him clean. I was glad we arrived a few minutes after the birth. I’m not sure I would want to have to explain all the questions that probably would have arisen from the kids if we had been there when the giraffe was being born. 🙂
One of my favorite things about spring is all the flowers everywhere. Andrew and I were eating lunch at this cafe and they had fresh flowers on the tables. I love it when restaurants do this. I can’t wait to plant some flowers this spring. I will share pictures with you when I do.
I love a freshly mowed lawn! The grass is clean cut, and a beautiful shade of green! I also happen to love the person mowing the grass! 🙂 I don’t think Andrew was aware that I was photographing him while he was mowing. He probably wouldn’t appreciate me sharing this picture, but I can’t help it. I love the hat! 😉
Samuel has entered the season of teething. He’s been gnawing my thumb knuckle off! Poor little guy!
I think I might have shared this recipe before, but I’m an air head most of the time and can’t remember. 🙂 One day last week I made simple sesame noodles for lunch. I forgot how much I love this recipe! Emma loved it too! I like steaming some broccoli and carrots to go with the noodles. That way I feel like we’re having our veggies too. 🙂 I also cut up some cucumbers and put them in cold vinegar water with salt and pepper. Nothing says spring like cucumbers!
