Weekend Getaway!December 11, 2019

This past weekend I went to visit my sister and brother in law in Nashville, TN! We had a great time! I love Nashville! You may not know this, but when Andrew and I were first married we lived there for a year before moving to Boston. It’s a great city full of music, hospitality, and food! Leah and Brandon moved to Nashville about four months ago. I am so excited that they now live close enough to go visit over a weekend! We went shopping, eating, and then to a gig that Brandon was playing in at Woolworths! It was a fifty’s big band down in the basement of Woolworths! It carried a fifties vibe with music and dance. I was carried back to a time when people went to concerts and dances because it was how you socially interacted, with people! I loved it! It made me want to take ballroom dance classes! I asked Andrew when I got back home, and he didn’t say no! He actually almost agreed to it! I just have to figure out the logistics! I’ve always wanted to be able to dance! I’ve taken a couple classes in the past, and proven to be terrible at it, but I’m going to keep hope that I can still learn!

I took Emma and Samuel for their first haircut yesterday! Samuel’s hair had reached the point where I could no longer tolerate it being in his eyes! Emma’s hair was needing shaped up, and hopefully it will grow thicker now. Her hair is a lot like mine in that it is thin and very fine. I did not cry! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve only cried one time, when David had a haircut around the age of three. The lady cut it WAY shorter than what I thought I had told her. It was practically a buzz cut. I wanted to cry the whole day! Thank God it grew back! ๐Ÿ™‚ Emma and Samuel did a great job sitting in the airplane chair, and the lady who cut their hair was amazing! I’m always so thankful when someone can cut our children’s hair with patience, kindness, and professionalism!

Hope y’all are doing better than I am about getting your Christmas shopping done! I am NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. to being done. SIGH! My student’s have their piano recital this weekend, and David is singing in the kids choir at church Sunday! I am super excited about both! I’ll let you know how it all goes!

Peace,

PK
