David celebrated his 100th day at school today! 🙂 In celebration the students were asked to dress old. David is wearing a pair of his old, too short pants. He is also wearing a shirt and tie of Andrews. It doesn’t really show in the picture but I tried coloring his hair white with corn starch. David also requested to have a mustache like his papa. 🙂 We used a gray marker to color his upper lip. 🙂 We had a great time dressing him up this morning!
The month of January has been long, and I feel like it has been full of colds! It started with David a couple weeks ago, and then has slowly progressed through every. one. of us! I am so ready for this snot to go away!!!!!!! The weather is not helping either. It has been cold and rainy, and some combination there of for a long time now, and kids need to go outside and play. Now that I think about it, January is my least favorite month of the year. It always seems so long and dreary. It has me wishing for a vacation!
Andrew brought home this bag of potatoes from the grocery store the other day. Prince Edward Island potatoes! 🙂 Sounds like the perfect vacation spot to me! It’s definitely on my list of places to go! I’ve wanted to go for years because I’m a huge Anne of Green Gables fan! This bag of potatoes will help me dream of a vacation to PEI! 🙂
One has to do something to brighten up the rainy days, and what better way than making cupcakes! Emma and I made these vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Emma wanted yellow frosting, and Andrew wanted green. Emma had to have sprinkles too!:) My favorite vanilla cupcake recipe is found at Sally’s baking addiction blog! They are so light and spongy! I also love her buttercream recipe! These cupcakes are so easy to make, and fun to decorate!
On a joyful note, I have an amazing bunch of piano students this semester! I am LOVING teaching piano to them. It’s keeping me very busy, but I love every minute. I’m also practicing music for a recital this spring!
Love,
