Today I played an arrangement of I Can Only Imagine arr. by Melody Bober. It is a beautiful song, I love the words to this song by Mercy Me. Today was “all saints” day, which is a remembrance and celebration of all those who have passed. I have been thinking of my grandmothers a lot today. I know they are singing praises in heaven! As I was driving home from church today, I noticed the catholic church in town was holding their service in their cemetery. I love that idea! It really has a lot of meaning if you stop and think about it.

Today I played an arrangement of When the Roll is Called Up Yonder arr. by Mark Hayes. I forgot to record it this morning during the service when I usually do. So I recorded it at home today. It is a fun arrangement, and I had fun playing it. I hope you enjoy listening!

Today was Thanksgiving Sunday. I played an arrangement of Simple Gifts by Mark Hayes. This arrangement begins with a single melody, another voice is added, and then full harmony. This arrangement has an Irish flare to it. Simple Gifts is a Shaker song written and composed by Joseph Brackett in 1842. It wasn’t popular until used by Aaron Copeland in the ballet Appalachian Spring which was first performed in 1944. Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was Christ the King Sunday. I played an arrangement of Praise to the Lord by Mark Hayes. It is a lively arrangement of the hymn. I enjoyed practicing and playing it. I hope you enjoy listening!
