Going Bananas! Thursday, January 31, 2019

I made banana bread last week and it was delicious! I love banana bread and have shared a recipe on here before, however, I tried a different recipe this time and it is the winner. Ree Drummond’s recipe is so moist and banana-e. (I know banana-e is not a word. πŸ™‚ ) I believe the secret ingredient that causes this deliciousness is sour cream! Yes, there is sour cream in the banana bread! No wonder I love it. πŸ™‚ Also make sure to add the full cup and a half of smashed bananas. It will depend on how big your bananas are as to how many you need. I used four. I also added a little bit of cinnamon because I love cinnamon. Here is the recipe forΒ Banana Bread.

Last Thursday I went to get my hair trimmed and I left Samuel with Andrew at the office. When I returned I found him being admired by the ladies that work in the office! They had Samuel all laid out on the desk asleep! πŸ™‚ So precious! Thank you Sheila and Cindy for being so helpful, caring and kind. I’m banana’s over you! πŸ™‚

Later at home I couldn’t resist taking pictures of Samuel’s sweet smiles and precious baby feet! πŸ™‚ By the end of this year you will probably be tired of seeing the thousands of baby pictures! I’m sorry in advance, but I can’t help it! So please bear with me! Don’t go bananas! Thanks! Your so wonderful!

Believe it or not, I’ve actually been finding some time to practice piano! It’s very random and not consistent yet, but a little goes a long way right now.Β  Samuel doesn’t seem to mind my practicing either. If anything, it puts him to sleep. No matter how loud I am playing it doesn’t bother him!Β  Music is my rock (practicing piano specifically), it grounds me and keeps me (insert banana pun here). πŸ™‚ I love piano and can’t wait to get back to teaching too! I start back next week, and while I only have a handful of students right now I am super excited to be doing what I love!

Andrew had a conference in Hot Springs this past week, and Alesia came to help me out. I am so thankful to live closer to our families! It makes it so much easier for them to come and visit, or help out when needed. The kids loved having Grand-mama come and stay! One morning the kids were hanging out with Grand-mama and Emma asked to hold Samuel! It was a great picture moment! πŸ™‚ You have to find the moments of sweetness mixed in with all the rest! πŸ™‚

Andrew made it home from his conference yesterday, but came home sick! Yikes!!! :0 When Andrew cancels Wednesday evening communion service, you know he is practically dying! However, it appears to be a twenty-four hour virus. He has been quarantined to our bedroom in hopes that the rest of us will not get it. Please say a prayer that we will not! Especially Samuel! When David was two months old he came down with a fever virus, and he was in the hospital for a few days. I prefer not to repeat that experience!!! We missed Andrew while he was away, and this was not the return we were hoping for, so I’ll be glad to have him back to himself soon!

Hope your week is not too bananas! πŸ™‚

Love,

PK
